Britney Spears Breaks Her Silence: 'I Just Needed Time to Deal'

After a #FREEBRITNEY rally swept West Hollywood and fan accounts across Twitter, Britney Spears broke her social media silence to address rumors about her treatment in a mental health facility.

In the midst of the growing hearsay, the ‘Stronger’ singer posted a video to Instagram on Tuesday explaining that “all is well.” She continues, “My family has been going through a lot of stress and anxiety lately, so I just needed time to deal. Don’t worry, I’ll be back very soon!”

She continued, “Don’t believe everything you read and hear,” she writes, “My situation is unique, but I promise I’m doing what’s best at this moment.”

She requested privacy while she handles the hurdles she’s had to overcome as of late while protecting her family and team at the same time.

The post quickly gained support from fans and celebs alike with Miley Cyrus writing, “We love u so much queen” and Spears’ boyfriend, Sam Ashgari, chiming in with, “Sometimes showing respect and privacy is the best support people can offer. #bestfans.” He wrote the same message on his own Instagram story to spread the memo wider.

As Spears continues down her road to recovery, fans everywhere are showing their support by requesting only that she focus on getting better. One comment reads, “We are not asking you to come back with new music...we just want you to be happy.”
