Cardi B is jumping back into performances after the birth of daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus. With the queen wanting to shed baby weight quickly, she underwent liposuction and was soon seen onstage in her signature, skin-tight fits.
At a May 5 performance in Memphis, Cardi admitted she shouldn’t be performing so soon after the procedure.
“I should have canceled today,” she admitted to the crowd. “I shouldn’t really be performing because moving too much is gonna f*** up my lipo. But bitch, I’m still gonna get my motherf***ing money back-let’s go!”
After testing the limits of her body, Cardi is having to cancel shows to allow herself time to recover. Her Memorial Day Maryland show was postponed after she was given strict doctor’s orders to cancel the rest of her performances for the month.
“Cardi was overzealous in getting back to work; she didn’t take the time necessary to fully recover from her surgery,” Cardi’s rep explained to PEOPLE. “Her strenuous schedule has taken a toll on her body and she has been given strict doctor’s orders to pull out of the rest of her performances in May.”
