The Battle of Winterfell is upon us.
HBO further stoked our anticipation for "Game of Thrones" by releasing six photos from this week’s upcoming epic episode.
Ready to take no prisoners is Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), who is all decked out in war armor and shooting her trademark icy stare. Ouch!
In another shot, Sansa and sister Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) join forces on the castle ramparts.
Taking a time out from their blossoming romance, Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) gather on a hilltop overlooking the battle.
Meanwhile, Jaimie Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and newly-knighted Sir Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) are seen ready to fight the White Walkers with their Valyrian swords drawn.
The Battle of Winterfell is set to go down in the history books for being the longest consecutive battle scene in movie and television history.
In addition, the new episode will be the longest in the show’s history, clocking in at 82 minutes.
This week’s episode is the third of six in what is sadly the eighth and final season of the HBO show.
But let’s not get ahead of ourselves because we still need to find out who survives the Battle of Winterfell.
