Kanye West, Scooter Braun, and Lee Sung Jin are working to develop “Omniverse,” an anthology series, which will star Jaden Smith as young West in an alternate reality, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The series will aim to explore ego through this alternate reality version of West, and would just run for a half hour. It'll air on Showtime, marking the network’s first anthology in years.

While West certainly has some digital media chops under his belt, “Omniverse” would be his first TV venture – aside from occasional appearances on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”

There are few details surrounding the series except for a cryptic tagline – “examining the many doors of perception.” The pilot script is in the hands of Jin, who wrote for “Silicon Valley,” Netflix series “Tuca & Bertie,” and upcoming Amazon animated series “Undone.”

Jin is excited to be taking on the project, saying, “I’m honored and thrilled to be collaborating with everyone involved to present an alternate world through the eyes of a young man somewhere in the multiverse who happens to also be Kanye West.”

Fans of Smith and West alike are eager for more info on the mysterious project.
