Lady Gaga Speaks Out on Split from Ex-Fiancé Christian Carino

Lady Gaga has broken her silence on the breakup of her relationship with Christian Carino.

During a performance of her “Jazz and Piano” show in Vegas on Sunday, the pop icon addressed the split for the first time since ending the engagement earlier this year.

“Last time I sang this song, I had a ring on my finger, so it’ll be different this time,” the 33-year-old said before belting out “Someone to Watch Over Me,” according to Us Weekly.

After meeting in 2017, Gaga and Carino announced their engagement in October 2018.  But just four months later, rumors ignited that the pair had split when she attended the Grammy Awards neither with him nor wearing her engagement ring.

A rep for the “Bad Romance” singer later confirmed the breakup just days prior to her win for Best Song at the Academy Awards.

It was during the Oscars that newly single Gaga was met with romance speculation following her intimate performance of “Shallow” with her "A Star Is Born" co-star Bradley Cooper.

Gaga shot down the dating murmurs by saying the duet was about the characters in the film and not real life. She would also go on to refer to Cooper as a “true friend.
